Well, who would've thought?

On the Opinion page of the West today, there's a comment about the Creation Museum being set up in the US to convince people that the natural history recounted in the Bible (6-day creation, Noah's flood, etc) is the literal truth.

Never mind the fact that the museum will feature dinosaurs, which as far as I know, are not mentioned in the Bible (owing to the fact that no-one who was responsible for the actual writing of the book of Genesis would have had any clue that they existed) - you've gotta draw the kiddies in somehow.

Embarrassingly, a large part of the impetus for this museum scheme comes from an Australian - Ken Ham, leader of the Answers in Genesis sect (yes, the terminology is deliberate).

However, in the picture accompanying the comment, Ham looks like a Neanderthal man in a suit, which, I would suggest, hardly lends credence to his point of view.

When are these literal-minded idiots going to wake up to themselves?
