Hanging by a moment
Not like me to use song titles in my subject line, but this one seemed appropriate.
Last night was kind of magical - not necessarily in a really good, happy way, but in a way that reminds you that these are the moments you stay alive for.
Even if everything goes to shit in the time between the moments, there's still the memory - a touch, a taste, a word, a feeling - something that takes you back to a time when you were exactly where you wanted to be and your world was in its right orbit.
People may wonder why I keep hanging on when I probably would have been happier letting go.
This is why.
