hang-ups

I don't ask for a lot in a man - well, maybe I do, but it shouldn't be that hard to meet my criteria! I'm generally a tolerant and understanding person, though I get impatient at times. I'll put up with a lot if I like someone in the first place (and that just introduces levels of pickiness that even I can't fathom - suffice to say, I know what I like when I see it). One of the things that I really do get impatient with is people who have double standards. If you're going to apply rules to people, they have to apply to you as well.

All I'm really asking for is balance. Should that be so difficult to come by? Why can't I just find someone who is easygoing, though not too easily impressed, tolerant but with high ideals, not too possesive, although possessive enough to indicate that he cares, intelligent and ambitious but not to the exsclusion of having a life, and who doesn't judge success - even subconsciously - in terms of accumulating money and power.
