Am presently contemplating a potential music purchase. Considering that I am extremely picky about such things, this is a major event - and it has, after all, been too long since I have bought a cd.
Next on the list, of course, is better equipment with which to play said cd - my stereo cd player died in transit from Canberra (probably) and now won't open. Have seen a 6-cd changer in Cashies, which is reasonably inexpensive. Even so, all this will, tragically, have to wait till next pay. Poor I be at present.
This time next week, I shall probably have no job to go to - while this is a less than ideal circumstance, I must admit I am looking forward to having some days when I can just potter around, cleaning the sty. Have been working solidly the last two weeks, and shall continue to do so for the remainder of this week. I never realised how exhausting captioning could be, until I started doing back-to-back shifts where we currently cram what should be eight hours' work into six. But I also must admit, I get a bit of a high from the stress of meeting a non-negotiable deadline. I think that's why I always opted for exams over essays at uni, and never took them home when we had the option.
Weird I be. But scruffable.
