Crossroads

There are times in life when one has to pause and reflect on what is really important, and what one needs to do to achieve the life one wants.

I've had enough angst in the last couple of weeks to fuel an entire volume of sonnets, but somehow the words just haven't wanted to come. How does anyone ever really know someone else? Or for that matter, how do you get to know yourself? When does it become too late to salvage a relationship? When do you just cut your losses and leave? And how can one person be so sure, and the other so full of doubt? I should have the answer to that one, having been in the opposite position before, but I'm still drawing a blank.

By the way, I think the house has a name now - the Half Bakehouse. Well, we live in half a house, and we have hot buns...

I need playing partners for cards and boardgames. Lots of, preferably.

And I need sleep.

so it's early and i slept badly.

as for card and board gaming, there's a boardgaming day on the 28th (1pm onwardsish), and i'm usually up for some form of either.

they happen. there is games.
more people = more games.
today we had a total of 9 different people, last week there was 11, but today had a higher average attendance.
also, today had 2 rats in the room at once!

they generally happen each week on Wednesday. It would be cool if you can make it. We play everything from Game of Life to Settlers of Catan to Munchkin to Boche and cribbage. :o)
